Amazon’s testing new smartglasses for its delivery drivers, projecting turn-by-turn directions and package info straight into their field of vision — like GPS meets sci-fi visor. The glasses eliminate the need to check a phone every 30 seconds and come with a vest controller, emergency button, and swappable batteries for marathon shifts. Future versions may spot wrong addresses or even rogue Chihuahuas in real time.

Anthropic’s been busy. 

In one swoop, it dropped Claude Skills (think: smart folders your AI can act on), Claude Code for the web (finally, a browser-based AI dev tool), and a public defense of its political neutrality after getting called out by U.S. officials. 

The message? Claude isn’t just a chatbot anymore — it’s an enterprise teammate, a coder, and maybe even a future policy influencer. 

With tools that mix convenience, compliance, and collaboration, Claude's stepping further into everyday workflows — and yes, Washington too.

Key points you shouldn’t miss:

AI With a Filing Cabinet and a Work Visa

Claude Skills are like Dropbox folders on steroids. They bundle how-to guides, standard operating procedures, reference files, and executable code into a directory that Claude can understand, choose from, and act on — automatically.

Here’s what makes this big: you don’t need to write a single line of code. 

Anthropic built a “Skill Creator” assistant that walks you through building a Skill in plain English. Whether you’re uploading onboarding steps, internal memos, or HR policies, Claude turns that into usable workflow logic.

Imagine you run a small agency. You create a Skill that includes your client onboarding checklist, tone-of-voice guide, and legal disclaimers. Claude can now walk new hires through the process, check creative for compliance, and even draft intro emails — no babysitting needed.

Stat to watch: According to Anthropic, multiple Skills can now coordinate on a single task. Meaning Claude could use a Brand Guide Skill and a Financial Report Template Skill to craft investor updates that actually follow your playbook.

Claude Code and the Rise of “Ambient Development”

Coding with Claude just got a UI upgrade. Claude Code for the web lets devs assign programming tasks straight from their browsers — no terminal gymnastics required. You can also connect GitHub repos and assign tasks like “clean up our API docs” or “build a test suite,” and Claude runs each task in a secure, isolated workspace.

After David Sacks accused Anthropic of “regulatory capture” and political bias, CEO Dario Amodei fired back, pointing to:
