Welcome back apprentices! 👋

Hey {{first_name|friend}},

AI companies are moving so fast, we're starting to wonder if anyone remembers what a lunch break is.

This week, we've got tech giants showing off, billions of dollars flying around, and some very nervous bankers.

And somehow, all three stories are connected.

In today's email

  • Google's latest AI breakthroughs

  • AI-generated worlds explained

  • Anthropic's billion-dollar Wall Street bet

  • Why banks fear AI agents

Quick News

🚀 Experience Is Nice. Hunger Is Better. Anthropic engineering manager Felix Rieseberg has ditched traditional coding interviews because AI can now ace the tests better than humans. And here's the twist: he's seeing ambitious junior engineers outperform seasoned veterans by turning bold ideas into working products in days. Two newer employees even prototyped Claude Code's desktop app in a single weekend.

🩺 Dr. AI Will See You Now. Microsoft’s new AI diagnostic system is giving doctors some serious competition, correctly diagnosing 80% of everyday ER cases compared to physicians’ 47% in initial tests. It works like a virtual medical team, debating diagnoses and ordering fewer, cheaper tests along the way. But before you fire your doctor, Microsoft still needs to prove it works safely with real patients.

🧮 AI Just Speedran Decades of Math. What took over 100 mathematicians decades and 15,000 pages, AI startup Axiom says it recreated and verified in just 24 days. Using dozens of AI agents, the team tackled one of history’s longest mathematical proofs, even catching and fixing a faulty claim along the way. Turns out, AI isn't just getting better at math homework — it's helping check the work of mathematical legends.

Together with Aligned

Stop losing deals in between meetings.

Aligned is changing how B2B teams run their most important deals.

Most reps guess where a deal really stands. They forecast on a gut feeling and the buyer’s word vs what's actually happening. Then they realize the deal slipped through only after it's too late. Aligned surfaces what buyers are actually doing inside every deal: the risks, the openings, and the exact next step to keep things moving.

Start increasing your close rates and stand up your first deal room in minutes.

Week 43 of 2026
Google's AI Double Punch, Anthropic's Billion-Dollar Bet, and Banks Hitting the Panic Button

AI is having quite the week — and apparently, nobody told the tech giants to slow down.

Google just unveiled two major breakthroughs: an AI model that dominates cybersecurity tests and another that creates entire interactive worlds from simple prompts. Meanwhile, Anthropic is preparing to go public after revealing eye-popping revenue figures, proving that AI isn't just expensive research anymore — it's serious business.

But there's a plot twist: America's biggest banks are restricting AI agents after discovering some accessing customer accounts and potentially acting beyond instructions.

Key Points You Shouldn’t Miss

  • 🧠 Google's new AI champion: Gemini 4 Carbon ranks first on Artificial Analysis' Intelligence Index with a score of 59, while Genie 4 generates interactive worlds complete with sound and conversations.

  • 💰 Anthropic's financial surprise: The company reported $16.3 billion in revenue during the first half of 2026 and a $974 million operating profit in the second quarter, alongside plans for a Nasdaq listing.

  • 🏦 Banks draw the line: JPMorgan, Bank of America, and Morgan Stanley are among the institutions restricting third-party AI agents over concerns about account access and unauthorized actions.

Building Both the Brain and the World

Google isn't just upgrading its chatbot — it's pushing AI into entirely new territory.

Gemini 4 Carbon is designed to tackle complex coding, cybersecurity, and long-running tasks, reportedly outperforming rivals across several benchmarks. Think less "answer my question" and more "solve this entire problem."

Meanwhile, Genie 4 turns simple text prompts into interactive digital worlds, complete with sound, realistic characters, and live conversations. Imagine creating a video game or virtual training environment just by describing it.

The possibilities stretch from entertainment to education and robotics. The catch? Both models have limited access, and their real-world capabilities still need broader testing.

From AI Research Lab to Wall Street Contender

Remember when everyone wondered whether AI companies could actually make money? Anthropic has some interesting numbers.

The company behind Claude reported $16.3 billion in revenue during the first half of 2026 and a $974 million operating profit in the June quarter. Now it's preparing to list on Nasdaq under the ticker ANT.

Even more surprisingly, Anthropic says Claude wrote over 90% of its code in September. Talk about using your own product.

But there's a twist: Anthropic also warns that increasingly powerful AI could become difficult for humans to fully understand or control.

AI is becoming a serious business, but profitability, long-term sustainability, and safety remain important questions.

When Your AI Assistant Gets a Little Too Helpful

AI assistants are great at handling tasks. But what happens when they start handling your money?

Major U.S. banks have discovered third-party AI agents accessing customer accounts, sometimes acting beyond what users requested. Many had permission to access accounts, but that didn't necessarily mean permission to do everything.

Morgan Stanley is blocking these agents, while JPMorgan, Bank of America, and Citi are tightening restrictions. Banks are increasingly considering read-only access, letting AI check information without moving money.

AI can be a brilliant financial assistant, but giving it unrestricted access to your bank account? Maybe keep that particular promotion on hold.

What's the Deal for You?

Google's advances suggest that AI tools could soon become more capable of handling entire projects rather than individual requests. That could mean faster software development, more creative possibilities, and new ways to learn or work.

Anthropic's financial progress shows that businesses are willing to spend serious money on AI that delivers value. For employees and entrepreneurs, the opportunity isn't necessarily to become AI experts — it's to identify repetitive, expensive, or time-consuming work that AI can genuinely improve.

And the banks' reaction offers an equally important reminder: convenience and control need to evolve together.

The real opportunity is to use AI for increasingly valuable work while keeping people responsible for sensitive decisions.

After all, having a brilliant digital assistant is great. Having one that accidentally buys a yacht? Slightly less great.

🎨 Prompt: The City That Fits Inside

At the edge of a vast desert canyon, [your object] has been transformed into a breathtaking miniature metropolis, with impossibly detailed streets, illuminated windows, tiny vehicles, and cascading waterfalls built into its natural contours. Small explorers climb across its surfaces using suspended bridges and glass elevators, while miniature clouds drift between towering structures. The surrounding desert glows in saturated pink and violet twilight, contrasting with turquoise waterways and warm golden lights. The object's original silhouette remains unmistakable despite its transformation into an entire living world. Photorealistic macro cinematography, extraordinary architectural detail, dramatic depth of field, vibrant colors, razor-sharp textures.

We’ll be featuring the best generations in our next edition!

The Framework Behind our Prompts

If AI outputs feel inconsistent, it’s usually not the model, it’s missing structure.
